Okay, maybe a little street food...

These sizzling hot, fresh from the fryer, huge cheese empanadas were delicious. I keep tasting what is maybe something like Emmental cheese in the food here. We decided they were safe, as there is no way anything could live at that temperature. I know this will be a daily snack for me.  We ate lunch with our host family today. Lunch is the big meal of the day. Jackie, our host Mom, was very  clear that dinner is small - meaning juice and a little bit of a sweet dessert bread. We bought fixings for mac and cheese for G and Mary today :-)
