Standing and Clapping

Today we celebrated belated "Christmas morning" with Bailey and Gabriel. Bailey's gift to G was a Laugh & Learn ride and walk car...Noelani put it together, and G took to it right away. He skillfully manuevered it down the hall and into our bedroom, and then he proceeded to put the blue circle shape into the circle-shaped hole for a while. He got so excited about his progress, that he stood up! Then, well, he kept standing (without holding onto anything), clapped his hands, and even did a little dance!

Thing 1 (drink) / Thing 2 (wash)

Gabriel has decided that he is old enough to drink from a real cup, and luckily his Aunt Patti sent him the perfect cup in a Dr. Seuss "Thing 1 / Thing 2" serving set. He still hasn't stopped thinking that cups are also good for handwashing, though...

Riding and Walking on Christmas Day

This year for Christmas, Gabriel got his two front teeth (photos not yet available) and two cool ride/walk toys - one for his house, from Aunt Michelle and Uncle Dave (that's him opening it himself), and one for Suz & Dunc's house, from his Wesi Suz and Papa Dunc. He was quite happy with both of them and knew exactly what to do to ride and push them. The "I love you more than Santa" onesie is from his Grandma and Grandpa, who he loves more than Santa, for sure. :-)

Nature walk

As part of our Solstice celebration, we took a walk along Sausal Creek, a sweet little creek near our house, just past Dimond Park. Gabriel has a tendency to want to clear surfaces of debris...which, well, was a little daunting when he wanted to clear the wood-chipped path of...woodchips! ;-)

My little life is just cruising along (no pun intended!). ;-)

They keep trying to make me take a picture on this quilt...can you just see me in high school, every month, time to get my picture taken on the quilt...how embarrassing!

Although, I mean, it is a cool quilt...did you see all of the planets?

And, have you seen the "milking bears", they are really cool (oh, and did you notice that I can now point at things that interest me?).

Yeah, I'm pretty cool (do you dig my hair?).

Playing Pat-My-Head with Tia

Gabriel is now doing "clap your hands, pat your head, shout hooray" (hands up over the head) regularly whenever he is excited about something. He demonstrated this for Tia Silvia this week...

...except that rather than patting his head, he was patting hers! ;-)

Walking in the park with Grandmama

Gabriel was impressing his Grandmama with his ability to be upright and in motion at the same time. :-)
