The can lock me up but they can't keep me down

For our little G, learning to crawl has quickly turned into learning to pull up onto his knees, and then pulling up onto his feet. It is so cool to watch as he develops these new skills. His world is getting bigger and bigger (just yesterday he crawled from the bedroom to the living room), and this seems to agree with him. He is also expanding his pallet and now enjoys peaches, pears, peas, and tofu.

My mama offered me a pluot -- she said it was a plum and an apricot mixed together, and it was really yummy...

G's bday gift to B -- his first crawl

Bailey's Bday party with the fam

Then, then next week, on 8/8 we celebrated Bailey's birthday at our Wednesday night family dinner which included Silvia, Naomi, Nicholas, Suz, and Duncan (and, yes, Gabriel).

Bailey takes the cake (and what a BIG cake ... also with an oreo cookie theme ... )

Still no cake for G, but he did get to have some yams from his big sister.

Noelani's Bday party with the fam

We celebrated Noelani's birthday on 8/1 at our Wednesday night family dinner which included Briana, Silvia, Leah, KJ, Suz, and Duncan (oh, and Gabriel). Here are some pixs...

Kite Flying

Bailey and Adriana celebrated their birthdays together with ice cream and kite flying on a drizzly, but windy, day.

First step in kite flying is to untangle the kites and string.

Sitting and Crawling

OK, so I can't TOTALLY do either of these things yet, but I am spending a LOT of time practicing!

OK, I was just kidding, the camera never catches me off guard because I love posing for the camera. When I grow up I'm going to be a fashion model -- are you loving this new outfit I have on today (thanks to Aunt MaryAnn)?

My Mommy put me on the rug a few feet from the door...but I wanted to see what it was like outside...

I made it all the way out! I found out it's kinda dirty out there.

Oh, but just wait until I have this crawling thing totally down! The places I'll go...! ;-)

The beach

Here I am (in my big hat) on the beach at Santa Cruz.

I REALLY liked putting my feet in the sand, and in the water, and in the wet sand.

I also liked riding on my Mama's shoulders.
