Holiday Fun for Mommy and Mama!

Mary and Noelani got to go out for a big night to Mary's work party (Thanks Suzu and Papa D!). Held at the new Academy of Sciences building in Golden Gate Park - an a amazing place with a living roof, a rainforest, an aquarium, a Planetarium and a movie theater where they were showing a 3D movie about bugs in the Rainforest. We had access to all of this, plus great food, music and dancing, the delightful creatures in the pics below (look for the face of the "tree person" with Noelani), Tarot and palm readings and hat making. A great party. We got there right as it started and didn't leave 'til the end and still didn't see and do all there was to be seen and done.

Noelani with the walking tree. It was actually kind of creepy the way she moved around...

Decorating our tree

Keeping with our "Just In Time" philosophy, we got our tree on Saturday and decorated it on Sunday. Gabriel and Bailey both helped.

More smiles :-)

Zoo Lights

On Wednesday night (Dec 17th) we went to the Oakland Zoo for "Zoo Lights" with Tia and we met Rikki, Vanessa, Kai, and Izak there. Gabriel was disappointed at first because all of the *real* animals were asleep, but then he enjoyed the zoo light animals (favorites were the hippo and the monkey and the crocodile), the carousel, and the TRAIN!

Mama and G on the carousel (G is riding a rhino!).

Oh those kissy lips!

The Five Acre Wood

In fine Cribb fashion, the Scottons have purchased a vacation cabin. :-) It is a sweet little place on five acres of wooded land in Mountain Ranch, CA. Not a lot happens in Mountain Ranch, and we like that aspect.

Noelani enjoying the great outdoors, Gabriel thinking about going inside...

Noelani and Gabriel going inside...(it was a little chilly).

Gabriel & I enjoying his current favorite "kitty" book.
Note: Ugly couch = a must have for mountain cabins (at least that's what we've been told)

Hanging out at "Bailey's house"

Bailey was in town last weekend at her Dad's house, and I was home alone with G while N was in Ohio. So G and I took a ride out to see Bailey on Sun and Mon afternoons. G learned to say "Bailey's house, Bailey's house" and name the dogs (Jake and Cha Cha) and say "Bob Pants" for Spongebob Square Pants. He also had the opportunity to play football with Bailey and I and to watch football with Bailey's dad. Since most things at Bailey's house are breakable, we spent the bulk of our time at the park. Some pixs...

The mysterious pumpkin/apricot/strawberry fruit...

Oooh, it's squishy!

Just resting from playing a little soccer...sitting on my ball.

Going for a spin! Woohoo!

Big sis and lil' bro.

Ouch!

Hmmm...maybe I shouldn't have bit her?

I am lovin' this slide!

This is my sidekick, Satchi.

Let's go trick-or-treating!

Visiting Bailey in the Redwoods

Had a great weekend in Trinidad, CA with Bailey on Oct 25th/26th. We played and hiked and carved pumpkins. :-) Some pixs...

We made friends with a few banana slugs (yuck!).

Back at the cabin, carving pumpkins...hmmm, what's in there?

Ooooh, slimy, like the banana slug!

Bailey and her scary pumpkin.

OK, not so scary now. ;-)

Aaah! Now, that's scary! ;-)
