Watch me swim!

Dr. Visit

The day started ok. I was kickin' it in my crib with my dawg.

But then, as I was having my morning coffee...

It spilled ALL OVER MY LAP (for those of you stressing out at home, it wasn't hot).

So, I chewed on some plastic bag to feel better (see all that coffee in my lap!).

And then we took a ride in the car, I got naked, and chewed on some paper (not as satisfying as the plastic bag, but it makes a good krinkly sound).

Then this lady with curly hair started talking to me -- she seemed nice...(and for some reason, my mom's never mentioned the coffee spill or the plastic bag).

But then she started poking at my ears and my eyes and my nose.

And then...

Yup, you've all been through this...

I got my shots! THREE of them!!! Oooow! :-(

Bailey Babysitting Baby Brother

Bailey (and Adriana) work to entertain Gabriel.

Maybe he'd like this hat!

Hey Bailey, thanks for the cool hat!

How do I look?

A day at the park

The swings are ok...I guess. It's not really all that unless I'm going up really high!

The creek is ok. I expect I'll explore and get wet at lot in this creek when I'm older.

The grass is pretty cool.

But the POPSICLE...now that's what I really need!

Look at me!

I can hold my hands together, and stand, at the same time!

I like my mommy, but she's a little silly.

Her fingers taste good, though.

And so does her hair!

Swim class at Dimond Park

After swimming in the Harbin Hot Springs pools all weekend, Gabriel started swim class at the pool near our house on Monday. It is a little chillier in Oakland than it is a Harbin, but he does not seem to mind. He just LOVES the water! :-)

Susan came along with us tonight (Wednesday), which was fun. She toted Gabriel in the Bjorn to and from the pool, and also was our photographer at class. Here are those pixs:

Camping at Harbin

Noelani setting up our campsite (there's Gabriel in the righthand corner).

Here he is a little closer -- happy to be at Harbin!

Me and G in the tent.

Sweet baby ready for bed with his Mama.

Playroom

This is the setup now on the "play" side of the living room.

Just after this photo was taken, he put his big toe in his mouth (an important developmental milestone).

Here is is trying on his warm hat in preparation for camping.

And here he is at his school desk, ready to learn about all of his toys!

What does that baby look like now???

Seems like it's been a while (just downloaded 85 pictures from the camera, so it must be a week at least). Here are some of those pixs:

Where's Gabriel? Can you spot his sweet little head?

How could he possibly fall asleep on my shoulders (his favorite place)?
(Note that Noelani and I both got hair cuts this day)

Reading in the bath...such a smart baby!

And, he can fly, too! :-)

Five Months Old!

Wow, can you believe it's been five months already? Here are pictures from today (ok, five months was officially yesterday, but we're on "baby time" here):

Playing around

Gabriel having "kick time" on his gyminee. He can reach up and pull on the crab to make it play music.

Stacy sweetly squeezing Gabriel - he came home with lipstick all over his head! :-)

Gabriel and Toby having a playdate!

Some more pictures of little g

G snuggling in his crib with his "lovey" (a lion blanket from cousin Amandine in France).

G at Uncle Nicholas's birthday party - wow, look at all those candles!

G just hanging out (sitting up, supported) in his chair and a half.

Just hanging around the house

We've been back home for a week now, and getting back into our groove (well, except for the sleeping ... that's been tough). Here are some pixs of us hanging out at home:

Gabriel and I hanging out on the bed

Gabriel's new "playroom" (a section of the living room) -- the soft A-Z floor-mat-puzzle thing is perfect for him -- a great place to practice rolling over and crawling.

Sometimes you just need to put the baby down so that you can get some chores done!
