Update on Luther

Luther, the member of my family that I've lived with the longest in my adult life (11 years?), passed away on Thursday, March 22nd. These photos were taken earlier that week. He had hit a new level of being "fascinatingly old" on March 1st, the day I returned to work. So, we had some transition time with him those three weeks, and gave him lots of love and attention. He was the sweetest dog I've known, and he was with me through many transitions in my life, including the long cross-country drive from NJ to CA. I will miss him deeply.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

For St. Patrick's Day, we went out dancing to "Baby Loves Disco", an event targeted at late-thirty-somethings like us who have young kids but still seem to think that they should be able to go out on the town! Then that Sunday we celebrated with Shannon, Carlos, Renata, and Carlos's mom, Mari. We had the traditional corned beef and cabbage, and my grandmother's Irish soda bread, of course. :-)

Renata's Blessing Feb 24th

Here are some pictures from Renata's Blessing, which was a very sweet event. It was a baby blessing, a house blessing, and an open house for the neighbors. Wonderful energy from everyone and made me realize that I want to be sure that we see little Renata more often -- she is changing so fast!
