Buses, boats, and taxis: traveling from Argentina to Chile

There are easier ways to get to Chile, and much harder ones, too. Our way was the way of the "silver-haired travelers", as it seems the needs of a 6-year-old are similar to that of a retiree: we never carried our luggage, we didn't have to travel on any single type of transportation for more than 2 hours, and we stayed in a fancy hotel that had a game room (in Peulla, which is in Chile on the border...see pix from our room of the wide grasslands and the mountains). We also saw breath-taking lakes, mountains, and volcanoes (see pixs - Monte Tronador is the highest, at 3554 meters; Volcan Osorno is the one we lived below, and the very blue photo was our first glimpse from the boat), and learned about the flora and fauna of the Andes. Our guides also knew how to keep everyone entertained on the boat (see photos of Gabriel feeding the birds). Oh, and we went on our first Canopy (zipline) in Peulla...not sure if that is on the retiree list, but it should be!
